Request for Tender in respect of Server and Storage Area Network (SAN) Equipment. The Department of Foreign Affairs in Ireland invites tenders for the supply, delivery, installation, warranty and support of a Storage Area Network (SAN), related equipment and servers to replace and expand its current server and SAN infrastructure. This is broken down into two separate Lots. The first Lot is for non SAN-attached server equipment and the second Lot is for SAN and SAN-attached equipment (including SAN-attached servers) and services. The Department may also have a requirement to draw down additional SAN-related equipment including a second SAN during the lifetime of the tender contract. Any additional SAN must be identical to or fully compatible with the initial SAN and will be a once-off requirement. Any additional equipment will be drawn down from the successful tenderer at the Department's discretion at any stage over the lifetime of the SAN tender contract. Tenderers may submit a tender for one or more Lots but not in respect of parts of Lots and may also submit more than one proposal for each Lot, if they so wish. The Department of Foreign Affairs reserves the right to choose a different contractor for each Lot.
