Tender for a Single Supplier Framework Agreement for the provision of Landscape Maintenance Services and Sustainability and Biodiversity Goals to Munster Technological University Kerry Campus
Munster Technological University Kerry Campus is seeking tenders from competent providers for the maintenance of grounds at its North and South Campuses in Tralee, Co. Kerry. The North Campus comprises of 65 acres and the South Campus comprises of 10 acres. MTU’s biodiversity and sustainability policy requires that landscape maintenance prioritise environmentally responsible practices that support local biodiversity and long-term ecological health. Contractors are expected to preserve and enhance existing habitats, maintain pollinator-friendly planting areas, and manage green spaces in line with sustainable urban drainage principles (e.g. through the care of rain gardens and permeable surfaces). Maintenance services should also contribute to MTU’s role as a “Living Lab” by supporting sensory and educational green areas, engaging the campus community, and aligning with the university’s broader sustainability targets under the 2025–2035 strategy and the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
