Located in the townland of Ballymurragh East, just off the N21, c.5km from Newcastle West and in the parish of Monagea, the Barnagh Station House is currently being developed for both the community to utilise and to enhance the tourism offering in the area. Given the proximity to an already established services hub, the Barnagh Station House is currently being developed and fitted-out as a standalone attraction re-creating as close as possible the look, feel and atmosphere of the original working station house. The project will cost approximately โฌ1.17 million, with an estimated completion date of Q1 2026. Limerick City and County Council is therefore seeking the submission of tenders from experienced and qualified service providers for the provision of services for the operation and management of the Barnagh Station House, Ballymurragh East, Templeglantine, Co. Limerick. Services to be provided will primarily focus on daily opening/closing duties, scheduled cleaning and passive surveillance. The successful tenderer will play a key role in ensuring the site is accessible, secure and maintained to a high standard across all seasons. This will ensure that the proper elements and commitments are in place to provide consistent operating and management services for the Barnagh Greenway Hub and delivery to the Council by the service operator.
