Host Broadcasting Services from major meetings and events during the Irish Presidency of the Council of the European Union 2026

Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade/An Roinn Gnóthaí Eachtracha agus Trádála

Ireland will hold the Presidency of the Council of the European Union from 1 July to 31 December 2026. During the Presidency, an extensive and wide-ranging programme of meetings, events and conferences will be held in Ireland. The programme will include official-level meetings and conferences, as well as meetings with senior political-level attendees. These meetings will attract media attention, and so an official television service provider (a host broadcaster) is required. The host broadcaster will deliver satellite streams and TV recordings of major meetings to accredited TV stations across EU Member States, while also providing an “on order” service to other TV stations.
