The aim of the scheme is to assist businesses to review their existing fleet and to give them the guidance and tools to confidently begin transitioning their fleet to zero emission vehicles. SEAI will gather the data for each business assessed to understand the size of fleets and the barriers that they may face. Assessment to action is a key part of this scheme. Businesses will be encouraged to change at least one vehicle to a zero emission one. Any business with 5 or more vehicles can apply for this assessment. The process of allocating this service will follow these steps: An Expression of Interest form is to be completed initially by an applicant. SEAI will review these and invite successful businesses to apply for a full assessment. This tender is to procure of a maximum of 10 qualified assessors who will be appointed to a suitable business for the assessment. As this is a pilot programme there may be a requirement for additional tasks outside of this Fleet Assessment Scheme to be undertaken by the appointed consultants.
