This is a call to competition by IE for the procurement of a Contractor for the Design and Build of Spencer Dock. DART+ is a transformative programme of projects that aims to modernise and improve existing rail services in the Greater Dublin Area (GDA). The DART network will increase from 50 kilometres to 150 kilometres transforming commuter train travel in the Greater Dublin Area. It will provide a sustainable, electrified, reliable and more frequent rail service improving capacity in all rail corridors serving Dublin, bringing DART travel with all its benefits to new and existing communities. The successful Contractor shall develop the design of the new Spencer Dock Station, through detailed design to Approved for Construction status. The Contractor shall subsequently construct the works, much of which is below ground, test and commission all systems they install and provide as-built documentation and drawings accurately detailing the works as constructed.The construction of this new landmark station at Spencer Dock, adjacent to the existing Spencer Dock Luas stop will offer a seamless interchange with the Luas network. With significantly more frequent services on all routes, the new Spencer Dock station will improve access in to the Docklands area. The existing Docklands Station will be decommissioned upon the completion of new Spencer Dock station. This contract shall include the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of M and E and Telecoms systems within the station confines, including (but not limited to) station lighting, HVAC systems, fire detection and suppression systems, low voltage power, CCTV, public address systems, customer information systems and help points. Where necessary, these systems shall connect to communications networks to allow remote monitoring / control of these assets.
