The Authority is tasked with performing a wide range of functions under different legislative provisions, including regulation of activities within the areas of Small Public Service Vehicles (SPSVs โ€“ taxis, hackneys and limousines), public bus passenger services, international coach and bus services, vehicle clamping, certain EU Passenger Rights and this may be extended within the period of any contract to include regulation of rickshaws/pedicabs or other modes of public transport. To discharge its statutory functions, the Authority requires a nationwide team of authorised persons/authorised officers and others to undertake compliance, enforcement, administrative and managerial duties (collectively โ€œcompliance personnelโ€). A number of compliance personnel are employed directly by the Authority operating out of our Dublin offices. The Authority may appoint persons under a service agreement to increase compliance and enforcement activity. The purpose of this Tender is to engage a Supplier to provide resources to conduct the duties of compliance personnel in some or all of its functional areas set out in section 2 of the Request for Tender. Note that all appointments of compliance personnel as authorised persons/authorised officers by the Authority under relevant legislation are for individual personnel and are at the sole discretion of Authority.
