Multi-Party Framework for the Manufacture and Supply of Exhibition Mounts and Plinths for the Changing Ireland Exhibition and other exhibitions as required in Two Lots

National Museum of Ireland

The Contracting Authority proposes to engage in a competitive process for the establishment of two framework agreements for the manufacture and supply of Exhibition Mounts and Plinths for its upcoming exhibition, Changing Ireland; Stories from the Collection 1900 to 2020. The frameworks may also be used for additional exhibitions as and when they arise. Changing Ireland Stories from the Collection is a major exhibition for the National Museum of Ireland, which will be located on the Third Floor of Collins Barracks. The exhibition will be housed in a floor area of approximately 450sqm and will contain up to 450 objects. See attached document โ€œ100-04-376-REV04โ€, which contains outline plans for an overview of the size and scale of the exhibition. The successful tenderers will work on-site at Collins Barracks. NMI will provide safe working spaces at Collins Barracks, however it must be noted that only minor and no substantial hotworks can currently take place on-site. NMI will provide a space in Collins Barracks to facilitate small adjustments to mounts close to the time of exhibition launch, these limited hotworks are allowed only in line with required Museum safety protocols and will be subject to discussion and approval. It is expected that the successful tenderer will have capacity and facilities to complete most hotworks off-site. It is also expected that some work will be completed off-site (workshop and fabrication facilities). Please note that under no circumstances can objects be taken off-site. Interested parties must associate their company with the competition by logging on to eTenders to access the documents. Failure to associate means they will not receive clarifications or be in a position to submit a response. Responses must be uploaded as a Zip file in order to protect the integrity of file names.
