The Discipline of Mechatronic Engineering within the School of Mechanical Engineering operates across several campuses of TU Dublin. There are several undergraduate programmes under its remit, as well as a growing research and innovation environment. To support the growth of Mechatronic Engineering at TU Dublin, tenders are sought for a mobile agile quadruped-legged robot, along with necessary accessories and support services. The mobile agile quadruped robot will provide a mobile robotic customisable platform suitable for undergraduate Engineering student capstone project work, supporting Mechatronic Engineering research programmes and also support student recruitment activities as well as engagement and outreach programmes within the School. Therefore the mobile agile quadruped must support a customisable, flexible and extendable open platform suitable for research and teaching activities within the School. As part of the demonstration of a value for money expenditure of public funds both new and ex demo/used systems will be considered in the tender evaluation process. Tenderers must state whether new or ex demo/used systems are quoted and the availability of each or both. If the Instrument is ex demo it must be less than 3 years old and MUST include a full service history with appropriate warranty.
