The Department of Education, Planning and Building Unit wishes to appoint a fully integrated project team (IPT) for the delivery of its Site Acquisition and Strategic Site Assessment Programme. The Programme will comprise circa 10 number cases per year for Strand 1 (site identification, suitability assessment, and acquisition) and circa 10 number cases per year for Strand 2 (strategic site assessment of existing school sites or other properties) for the purposes of Post Primary, Primary and/or Special Schools nationwide, and potentially may include some campus scenarios. It is anticipated that the cases may comprise the development of new schools on greenfield and/or brownfield sites (Strand 1), and may include scenarios for a mixture of new build and new extension/refurbishment cases on existing sites for the purposes of consolidating and/or intensifying development (Strand 2). The IPT will consist of Acquisition Manager (lead), Architect, Civil and Structural Engineer, Quantity Surveyor, Planning Consultant, Property Agent (Valuer) and Property Agent (Negotiator). The Department will utilise a single operator framework for the purposes of delivery of this programme. The framework will be for a specified duration three years, with the flexibility of a further one-year extension at the discretion of the Contracting Authority.
