The previous notice was cancelled due to a technical error in the TED publication, the type of procedure used for this competition will be the negotiated procedure with a call for competition
Iarnród Éireann (IÉ) requires a competent and experienced company to supply and install and commission three new cranes and to remove and dispose of the three existing cranes within the Bogie Shop, Dublin 8.
The successful contractor will be responsible for any transport or civil works which may be required prior to removing and installing the cranes, all final measurements will be the responsibility of the contractor.
Supply and Install:
• 2 x 50 tonne cranes;
• 1 x 25 tonne crane.
Removal and disposal
• three existing 40 tonne cranes.
Depending on budget there may be a requirement for the successful contractor to supply and install a 2.5 tonne approx. crane.

The Bogie Shop at Inchicore overhauls and produces bogies for all the Irish Rail passenger fleets.

50 tonne cranes need to be operated simultaneously (in tandem for loco lifts) with the same control and separately when tandem lifts are not taken place. Anti-collision sensors and digital load sensors to be included.
Depending on budget there may be a requirement for the successful contractor to supply and install a 2.5 tonne approx. crane within the Wheel Shop, Inchicore.
