Clare County Council intends to appoint a competent service provider for the collection of approximately 475,000 loose End-of-Life Tyres from a site in Co.Clare. Assuming an approximate weight of 8.5kg (0.0085 ton) per tyre this would amount to approximately 4,050 tonnes of tyres. A significant volume of the tyres are baled, but it is estimated that approximately 10% are loose. The tyre bales contain approx 100 tyres each.
