The contracting authority also requires an efficient and cost-effective solution for data backup, including physical and virtual machines, application aware and file level backup, and for disaster recovery for business-critical applications.
The contracting authority requires a disaster recovery solution hosted on site. The disaster recovery solution must cater for a range of scenarios such as the recovery of a single virtual machine to a catastrophic failure of the production site. The solution must facilitate the relocation of the production environment to the disaster recovery site in Athlone Civic Centre with minimal downtime. The contracting authority requires an RPO (Recovery Point Objective) of 1 hour or less and an RTO (Recovery Time Objective) of 1 hour or less for all virtual machines in the disaster recovery facility.
