The University of Limerick requires a wheelchair accessible bus provider to facilitate the on-campus transport needs of students with disability. The vehicle must comply with all the regularity and safety requirements for such a vehicle. The driver must have the qualifications, licence and training to drive and manage such a vehicle. The vehicle will have the capacity to accommodate manual and power type wheelchairs. Only one person (possibly with a carer) will need to be facilitated at any given time.
The service will be required from 8.30 to 18.30 each weekday for each semester (total 30 weeks). The service will provide students with transport to/from their accommodation to various parts of the campus and around the campus as necessary. Pick-up and drop-off may be either on campus or within close proximity of the campus.
