Boilers, Heat Pumps and Parts — Tender

SSE Airtricity are looking for expressions of interest from potential suppliers who can provide the following to the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland markets:

1) Supply of Boilers and Boiler Install Packs,

2) Supply of Boiler Spares and Parts,

3) Supply, Design and Commissioning of Heat Pump Systems.

SSE Airtricity Energy Services is an organisation that operates both in ROI and NI. We provide contracting services related to energy efficiency works in residential homes. These works include gas and oil heating upgrades, internal and external insulation, heat pumps, electrical services and full home retrofits. On average we complete in excess of 70 000 jobs per annum across the two jurisdictions.

We are seeking to award three new lots of supply contracts that will include supply, specification, delivery and stock management facilitation. Each contract will have a 2-year term with an option to extend up to a maximum of 3 additional years (of 1 + 1 + 1). These three lots will include the following:

1) supply of boilers and boiler install packs,

2) supply of boiler spares and parts,

3) supply, design and commissioning of heat pump systems.

Each lot may be awarded separately but will not preclude the same supplier for tendering for each lot. In addition, while this tender is focused on the ROI market for now, we will be looking to hear about your ability to provide supply services to both ROI and NI. Your availability to service the NI market or not will not preclude you from the award of the ROI contracts currently under tender.

Lot 1: Boilers and boiler install packs

SSE Airtricity Energy Services is seeking to award a contract for the provision of a range of domestic gas boilers and the associated install pack requirements suitable for the Irish market. Whilst price will always be a factor in our decision and must be competitive, some of the ancillary requirements are as important for the operational effectiveness of our business. We are a national energy services business covering all parts of Ireland. We have a requirement that any orders made within 24 hours can be delivered to site for the next morning by 8.30 a.m. at the latest.

Lot 2: Boiler spares and parts

We have a significant boiler service and repair element to our business, completing almost 20 000 service and repair jobs per annum. As such we have a requirement to be able to source and provide the main industry spares for the most popular domestic gas boilers in the market. We have a requirement that any orders made within 48 hours can be delivered or collected from a branch where possible.

Lot 3: Supply, design and commissioning of heat pump systems

We have a significant residential/commercial retrofit contract nationwide as an element to our business. As such we have a requirement to be able to source and provide a top tier design and supply heat-pump manufacturer for bot h Air-Air and Air-Water in the market. We are a national energy services business covering all parts of Ireland with gas. We have a requirement that any orders made within 48 hours can be delivered or collected from a branch where possible.
