Description of the procurement
The framework agreement for engineering design services will be to support Irish Waterโs Business Plan objectives. The terms of reference for the scope of the framework is wide-ranging and comprehensive and will encompass many deliverables, including the following (non-exhaustive) list of services: appraisal of projects and programmes:
โ feasibility studies and preliminary reports,
โ strategic planning and economic analysis,
โ wastewater process design to primary, secondary and tertiary treatment standards,
โ wastewater treatment infrastructure design including buildings, process equipment, networks and siteworks,
โ water process design to relevant Irish and European standards,
โ water treatment infrastructure design including process equipment, buildings, networks and siteworks,
โ water and waste networks model build, calibration, analysis and design,
โ catchment and receiving water quality model build, calibration, validation and analysis,
โ flow control structures and storm water overflows (CSOs) options and design,
โ SCADA and mechanical/electrical design,
โ telemery and SCADA related services,
โ sludge treatment and disposal options and design,
โ Sustainable urban drainage (SUDS) options and design,
โ catchment management support,
โ consultations and approvals from regulatory authorities, statutory bodies and public utilities,
โ planning and services relating to other statutory compliances,
โ statutory licence reporting support,
โ investigations and surveys,
โ investment planning support,
โ stakeholder management,
โ preliminary and detailed design,
โ programme/project management,
โ health and safety,
โ risk management,
โ environmental engineering,
โ geotechnical investigations,
โ mechanical engineering,
โ electrical engineering,
โ civil/structural engineering,
โ fire engineering,
โ architectural/CAD services,

โ any other ancillary services associated with a water/wastewater programme and/or the development of strategies related to the water industry.
