The EPA is seeking to recruit externally contracted consultancy resource on a fixed term 2 year basis to provide it with additional inspection capacity in relation to radiotherapy and other medical facilities. The contractor must provide a resource which has relevant technical qualifications and broad experience in radiation protection in a radiotherapy setting. Specifically, the contractor will be part of a team responsible for:
โ€” assessing applications to authroise new radiotherapy and other medical practices,
โ€” inspection of licensed medical facilities,
โ€” developing and updating technical guidance/code of practice,
โ€” inspections in other types of facility as required,
โ€” legal enforcement.
