The lead consultant shall execute the Contract with the Cork County Council with collateral warranties required for Sub-consultants.

The Consultant is required for the preparation of all Investigations, Reports, Statutory Permit Applications, Contract Documents and other Engineering Services outlined in the following sections of this Brief necessary for the delivery of the Dursey Island Cable Car and Visitor Centre Project.

The existing cableway, constructed in 1969, is to be decommissioned and replaced with a 2 car cableway to meet current National and European Standard and Regulations. An associated Heritage / Cultural Center is to be constructed on the mainland (Beara Peninsula) with a smaller building on Dursey Island with necessary upgrades to car parking, water supply and wastewater treatment included in the proposed construction contract.
