The Contract consists of the design, construction, commissioning and testing, of approximately 24,5kms of water-mains and associated infrastructure, including 1 301 consumer service connections, across the following locations in Co. Meath:
โ Slane,
โ Kells,
โ Navan,
โ Trim,
โ Laytown,
โ Athboy,
โ Piercetown,
โ Rathmullan,
โ M1 Crossing at Platin,
โ Ratoath,
โ Oldcastle,
โ Mornington,
โ Duleek,
โ Dunboyne,
โ Gaulstown,
โ Sutherland Lane.
The Contract includes the following:
โ The design, construction, testing and commissioning ofโฆ
โฆ approximately 25km of water-mains ranging in diameter from 90mm PE to 355mm PE;
โฆ Consumer Connections from public water-mains to private properties including backyard service connections using trenchless methods;
โฆ water-mains crossing watercourses and railway infrastructure by trenchless methods;
โ Works to be carried out in areas of high archaeological importance and/or areas requiring Ministerial Consent;
โ Works to be carried out adjacent to the M1 motorway and along TII national primary and national secondary roads;
โ Works to be carried out in busy urban areas.
The contractor will be required to take on the roles of PSDP and PSCS for the whole of the works.

Requests to participate may be submitted by single entities or by groups of service providers. A group will not be required to convert into a specific legal form in order to submit a request to participate, but may if Irish Water considers it necessary to ensure that the contract is carried out to its satisfaction, be required to do so prior to award of the contract. Irish Water also reserves the right to contract with each member of the group on the basis of joint and several liability, or with 1 member of the group as a main contractor with a number of sub-contractors or on any other basis as Irish Water considers appropriate.
