Electricity Supply Board (ESB) will require a supply of a centrally managed enterprise standard wireless solution.Currently ESB have a centralised controller based wireless infrastructure. The existing wireless infrastructure is end-of-life and requires to be upgraded and to provide an improved level of access for internal users of ESB wireless services.ESB have approximately 7 000 users in 140 locations nationwide. Currently, wireless access in ESB is provided in Head Office and the main branch offices. Some smaller offices also have wireless access in key locations such as meeting rooms.It is intended that the contract will provide for assistance in installation and design of a new centrally managed enterprise standard wireless solution the enhances the level of existing access to the end user. ESB also require the ability to manage the new system centrally and be capable of enforcing secure wireless policies while have full visibility of applications and data utilising the wireless network.There will also exist a draw-down arrangement, allowing ESB to call down requirements at regular intervals, and the ongoing maintenance of the hardware and software purchased.

ESB reserves the right to renew the contract for additional period of up to 2 years.

Tender Pre-Qualification Questionnaire will be issued to all candidates who respond to this notice. A completed Questionnaire will be evaluated as the expression n of interest.
The Pre-Qualification Questionnaire must be completed and returned to: ssprocurement@esb.ie quoting Reference No. SSCON2230 no later than 12:00 noon on 24.4.2015.
ESB will short-list a number of companies to proceed to RFT stage from these expressions of interest, based on the response to the Pre-Qualification Questionnaire.
The contracting entity will not be responsible for any costs, charges or expenses incurred by candidates or tenderers relating to this contract selection procedure.

Legal form to be taken by the group of economic operators to whom the contract is to be awarded:
Where a grouping of service providers expresses interest, it will be a requirement of ESB that one member of the group accepts full contractual responsibility for the delivery of the service. Where appropriate, the intended contractual responsible member of any grouping or consortium must be identified in the Tender Pre-Qualification Questionnaire response to this notice.
