Road Transport Passenger Services in the South West Region

The Contracting Authority proposes awarding a Framework Agreement(s) for the provision of Road Passenger Transport Services over a three year period within the Eastern Region. The Eastern Region consists of the Greater Dublin Area, Wicklow, Arklow, Bunclody, Newbridge, Rathangan, Edenderry, Mullingar, Athboy, Navan, Kells, Dundalk, Drogheda, Cavan and Monaghan. The Contracting Authority reserves the right to extend this agreement(s) for a further period of 12 or 24 months.
Two panels of qualified and competent operators will be established to provide services to Bus Eireann on demand. The provision of these services will be for the purpose of supplementing existing bus services, in particular, at times of increased demand for seasonal or other reasons. 1 panel will consist of services operating under Dublin operations (Busaras or Broadstone Depot operations) and the second panel will consist of services operating under Dundalk Operations (Dundalk, Drogheda, Cavan and Monaghan Depot operations). Bus Eireann will define the age and specification of vehicle required for the Services. Only Coaches with a minimum capacity of 47 seats and up to 10 years of age are required. Coaches which fall outside this requirement will not be considered.
