Electricity Supply Board (ESB) wishes to invite expressions of interest for the provision of application packaging services, to be delivered as required, for client (currently Windows 7 SP1), Windows Server 2008 R2 and terminal services (Citrix XenApp) environments. The service will include software integration, packaging, scripting (Powershell and VB), App-V conversion and any associated troubleshooting. The packaging role will continue to provide delivery via one sequenced application package for both client and terminal services platforms via App-V as per the current ESB process with applications deployed on to the Citrix environment or directly to a desktop or laptop client device via Microsoft SCCM.The candidates should provide the services of an application integrator to gather all the requirements for an application prior to packaging. This would include initial installation and testing on desired platform while liaising with ESB internal business staff, capturing any customisations or extra requirements, creation of documentation, conveying of instructions to packager, and managing final user acceptance testing of the packaged applications prior to passing to ESB staff for deployment.The candidate should be experienced in using AppDNA, Appsense and packaging using a minimum of APP V5.

Technical and professional ability:

(1) A brief summary of the candidate's experience of supplying application packaging services, to include software integration, packaging, and App-V services. Please give examples of any applications packaged i.e. Adobe, Oracle, SAP, Microsoft, Sage, Symantec, Aligne, Sophos, Jaws products or equivalent to demonstrate complexity and range;

(2) Length of time candidate has been in the business of supplying application packaging services;

(3) Details of company accreditations to any relevant representative organisation, institute or governing body, etc.;

(4) Details of the Candidate's Health and Safety Policy (Safety Statement if available);

(5) Details of 3 clients of similar size to ESB to whom candidate has supplied Application Packaging services (including name of client, duration of contract and name, e-mail address and phone number of reference contact). Unless otherwise stated ESB will assume that contact may be made with these references without further reference to the candidate. Details to include:

(a) Name of Organization;

(b) Duration of Contract;

(d) Date of commencement and termination of contract;

(e) Indicate whether the services have been provided by on-site / off-site resources;

(f) Delivery platform (Windows 7 SP1/Citrix);

(g) Packaging tool(s) used;

(h) Approximate number of applications delivered;

(i) Agreed delivery times for packages;

(j) Range of applications packaged;

(k) Any other organisation party to the contract (e.g. prime or sub-contracting roles);
