The works comprise the First Floor Fit-Out of the Existing Acute Psychiatric Unit to include a Haemodialysis Unit (Approx. 2,400 m) and a separate Mental Health Unit for both Psychiatry of Old Age and Mental Health and Intellectual Disabilities (Approx. 1,200 m). The New covered Link Bridge to the Existing Hospital (Approx. 170 m) is accessed from two new Stair and Lift Cores (Approx. 270 m). The Ground Floor of the 44 bed Acute Psychiatric residential Unit will remain occupied and fully operational for the duration of the project and careful co-ordination will be required with the operators to ensure critical 24 hour services are maintained.
