Maintenance and supply of IBM RISC-based UNIX servers
Electricity Supply Board (ESB) has an ongoing requirement for maintenance and supply of IBM RISC-based UNIX servers together with their UNIX (AIX) operating systems. ESB currently uses IBM Power servers as a platform for some of its most mission critical applications. It is envisaged that the AIX/Power stack will remain an important part of ESB's infrastructure over the next 3 years.
ESB wishes to put in place a drawdown contract to allow it to call down maintenance/support requirements at regular intervals, and to facilitate any required purchases of hardware and operating system licences. The contract will cover the maintenance of existing IBM Power server hardware and AIX software in ESB together with maintenance of any new items acquired under the contract.
