The heating season is generally from September to May and the peak load is approx. 900 kW. The proposed Biomass Heat Centre will be required to provide a minimum of 85 % of the peak load. The distribution system should be sized for a further 3,300 m² educational building. The project intends to follow the process outlined in SEAI's Framework for Energy Performance Contracts (EPC)/Local Energy Supply Contracts (LESC) projects and will seek to provide comprehensive and quality information regarding the facilities to the shortlisted tenderers.
