Irish Water is undertaking the Cork Lower Harbour Main Drainage Scheme to provide waste-water collection storage and treatment for the catchment area which includes the towns of Cobh, Passage West, Monkstown, Ringaskiddy, and Carrigaline and adjoining areas.
The project is divided into several contracts, the contract described herein is for the provision, trenchless laying and testing of 2 no. new 400 mm diameter nominal bore, 1 400 m long gravity sewer pipes beneath a 1 km wide body of open tidal water.
