Irish Water proposes to undertake the development of new network collection and transfer systems in the towns of Cobh, Passage West, Monkstown, Carrigaline and Ringaskiddy in the Cork Lower Harbour area. This is necessary to ensure compliance Irish National Standards and Regulations relating to transfer and storage of urban wastewater. It is intended to divide the Network Contract into Lots.

The Contract consists of the construction and testing of a new and upgraded collection and storage network in each of the towns served by the project. This will include the provision of gravity sewers, rising mains, an estuary crossing by directional drill/ micro tunnelling, Pumping Stations, storage tanks. The Contract will also include the provision of new and upgraded Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control and Automation facilities in each of the Pumping Stations. A pre-qualification questionnaire will be issued to all candidates who respond to this notice. Expressions of interest should be addressed in writing and sent via email for the attention of The Shared Services Procurement Manager to kkidd@bge.ie The questionnaire will cover the financial, economic and technical capacity of the candidates. The questionnaire must be completed and returned to the address in I.1. above not later than 17.00 hrs on 3.7.2014. The responses will be used to assist in drawing up a tender list. This process may also include interviews with candidates. The contracting entity will not be responsible for any costs, charges or expenses incurred by candidates or tenderers relating to this contract award procedure. Where this competition is ongoing at the time of any transfer of the Energy business of Bord Gรกis ร‰ireann to a third party, such third party may take over the conduct of this competition.
