Sligo Water Conservation Project, Sligo City Watermains Replacement Works - Contract No. 4

Sligo County Council

Sligo County Council invites tenders from suitably qualified and experienced contractors to carry out the following works in Sligo City and its Environs:
— 9.353 km (approx) of replacement watermains at various locations in Sligo City centre and environs.
— 1.3 km (approx) long surface water sewer, petrol interceptor and outfall to Garavogue River in Pearse Road, Cleveragh Road, Teeling Street, Thomas Street and John F Kennedy Parade.
— 230 m (approx) long replacement foul sewer in Pearse Road, Teeling Street and Thomas Street.
Ancillary Works include the following;
Trial hole excavation and reinstatement to locate and confirm design of pipelaying works;
Demolition of the existing culverts, sewers and manholes;
Construction of petrol interceptor and surface water outfall;
Installation and decommissioning of ridermains on both sides of the road (as applicable) to maintain a continuous supply of potable water to consumers;
Over pumping of sewers where necessary to maintain a live sewerage system;
Service connections including installation of boundary box at the outer edge of the property boundary;
Pipeline and PE welded joints testing;
Temporary and permanent reinstatement;
Connections to existing ‘live' distribution/ collection systems;
Commissioning works include facilitating full change over to new works and decommissioning of existing works;
Temporary traffic management;
River/stream crossings;
Ecological screening, preparation of impact assessments, development of mitigation measures, design and detailing of protection works and monitoring;
Archaeological screening, preparation of impact assessments, development of mitigation measures, design and detailing of protection works and monitoring;
Water quality testing
Trench Dewatering
Auditing of personnel, equipment and techniques for PE welding
Provision of accommodation for Employer's Representative
Disposal of waste materials; and
Other works included in the Contractor's Works Proposal

Tender documents will be dispatched on receipt of a written request and receipt of EUR 300.00 made payable to Ryan Hanley Consulting Engineers. The deposit will be refunded on receipt of a bona fide tender not subsequently withdrawn and on return of the Tender Documents.
