RFT Sludge - collection, transportation, treatment and recovery/disposal of sludge from Clare County Council

Clare County Council intends to enter into a contract for a 2 year period, with the option of extending for a further 2 years, with an appropriately licensed and permitted contractor for the Collection, Transportation and Recovery/Disposal of Sewage Sludge from Wastewater Treatment Plants from County Clare and also for the disposal of Sludge produced in Water Treatment Plants in Co. Clare. The contract will include for: the frequent/intermittent collection of liquid and dewatered sludges from Wastewater Treatment Plants and Water Treatment Plants in Clare County Council.
Its transportation to sludge treatment facilities licensed by the Irish Environmental Protection Agency to treat wastewater and water sludges (or to other permitted sites/technologies) for treatment/disposal, in compliance with appropriate licences and permits from the Irish EPA and other permits as appropriate.
Provision of suitably sized watertight skips at treatment plants, if required, for the duration of the contract for the purpose of collection and transport of the sewage sludge.
Maintenance of records in relation to sludge movement and recovery/disposal and submission of same to Clare County Council at the expiration of each month in tabular and/or electronic format as required by Clare County Council and under the terms of the permitted contractor's permit.
