The Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI) is an independent statutory body established by the Pharmacy Act 2007 and regulates the pharmacy profession and pharmacies in Ireland, in the interests of public health and safety.
The 2007 Act replaced a number of old Acts and regulations dating back to 1875 and in recent years, the PSI has been engaged in a significant change programme to meet the challenges of implementing the new legislation.
The PSI wishes to establish a multi-party framework agreement, for a duration of up to 4 years, for the provision of Legal Services including court representation. The Legal Services required include: 1. Governance, 2. Registration, 3. Fitness to Practise/Fitness to Operate, 4. Inspection, Investigation and Enforcement, 5. Education, 6. Employment Law, 7. Contract Law, 8. General Matters. It is envisaged that 5 qualifying organisations will be invited to tender, and successive reduction will be applied.
