ENQEIR382 - Energy Supplier for EirGrid Group
EirGrid intends to establish a multi-supplier framework for the provision of the following supplies using the following Lots;
Lot 1 – Electricity for EirGrid in Republic of Ireland
Lot 2 – Gas for EirGrid in Republic of Ireland
Lot 3 – Electricity for SONI in Northern Ireland
Lot 4 – Gas for SONI in Northern Ireland
It is anticipated that 3 suppliers will be appointed to the framework for each Lot. The contracts for the initial 12 months of this framework agreement (year 1) will be awarded to the successful tenderer for each Lot (based on the submissions from this tender). A mini- tender will take place annually for years 2 and 3 of contract to ensure competitive market conditions.
The contract periods to be awarded under the 3 year framework agreement are anticipated to be as follows:
— February 2014 –January 2015 – Year 1
— February 2015 –January 2016 (mini tender) - Year 2
— February 2016 –January 2017 (mini-tender) - Year 3
Each of the above contracts will be based on fixed pricing for a period of 12 months.
