CSP 4893 FR - Provision of'Legal Services to CIE
CIE Group Solicitor's Office provides legal support to CIE
and its subsidiaries. CIE seeks to pre qualify legal advisors
who wish to be considered for a tendering process which
will result in a panel of legal advisers to provide certain
commercial legal services when required by CIE and its
subsidiary companies in partnership with the CIE Group
Solicitor's Office. The panel will be established in
September 2013 and will operate for a period of three years.
Legal advisors will be required to provide commercial legal
services (“Services”) in one or more of the following
advisory areas:
Advisory Area A (“Advisory Area A”):
Commercial Law Services
Primarily drafting and advising on complex commercial
contracts
Advisory Area B (“Advisory Area B”):
Non-Contentious Construction Law Services
Primarily drafting complex construction contracts
Advisory Area C (“Advisory Area C”):
Information Technology Law Services
Primarily drafting complex information technology contracts
Advisory Area D (“Advisory Area D”):
Pension Law Services
Advising on legal issues in relation to pensions and related
law applicable to CIE's pension schemes and drafting
amendments to the said schemes
The services sought are Annex II B services under Directive
2004/17/EC of the European Parliament and the Council
dated 31 March 2004 (as amended by Directive
2005/51/EC dated 7 September 2005) are not therefore
subject to the general procedures set out in that Directive.
CIE intends to utilise a procedure analogous to the
negotiated procedure for the award of these contracts
