692 - The management and operation of the Civic Amenity and Recycling Centre at Ballymount, Dublin 12
South Dublin County Council, the Contracting Authority, invites interested parties with relevant experience in the field to submit proposals for the management and operation of the Recycling and Civic Amenity Centre at Ballymount Avenue, Walkinstown, Dublin 12 and for the transport of baled waste to the landfill site as appropriate. The services to be provided will comprise the following;
— Reception of household waste delivered to the civic amenity facility, temporary storage of waste at the civic amenity facility and transfer of waste onward to intermediate treatment facilities or disposal facilities.
— The organisation of, in conjunction with recycling bodies approved by the Council, the reception, temporary storage, collection and recycling of recyclable materials delivered to the civic amenity area. Recyclables to include, but not confined to paper, cardboard, ferrous material, aluminium, oils, glass, textiles, batteries, plastics and green waste.
The contract will be for a period of 1 year initially with an option (strictly at the Contracting Authority's discretion) to extend the contract year by year up to a maximum of 3 years.
