Scope of Contracting Entity's Requirement
The Contracting Entity proposes awarding a contract for the supply, support and installation of a fuel management system in each of the Dublin Bus depots (8 locations in the greater Dublin Area) and its fleet of 930 buses.
An outline of the system requirements is as follows:
Innovative Real Time Stock Control of Fuel, Oils and Lubricants from tank Gauges.
Secure tracking of all Fuel, Oils and Lubricants issued to the Dublin Bus fleet by date, time and operator.
Accurate fuel metering system.
Automatic reporting and monitoring of fuel consumption for each bus in the Dublin Bus fleet using the fuel issues and odometer readings.
Contactless Vehicle technology.
Options to link to on board fuel monitoring utilizing the automatic vehicle location system installed on each bus where possible.
This project is funding dependent and there is no guarantee that it will proceed.
