The expected scope of services is the provision of electricity supply to BGร‰ at multi-site locations. It is intended that the initial contracts to be awarded under the Framework Agreement will be for provision of supply of electricity for Irish Water. The Framework Agreement may also be used
for provision of electricity to other parts of the BGร‰ Group.
The supplies and services required by BGร‰ have been divided into lots as further described below:
Lot 1: Low Voltage Maximum Demand Supplies with Non Quarter Hourly Meters.
Lot 2: Low Voltage Maximum Demand Supplies with Quarter Hourly Meters where annual consumption is less than 300,000 kWh.
Lot 3: Low Voltage Maximum Demand Supplies with Quarter Hourly Meters where annual consumption is greater than 300,000 kWh.
Lot 4: General Purpose Nightsaver Supplies with Non Quarter Hourly Meters where the daily consumption falls solely within the 1st Block, Night usage is also recorded.
Lot 5: General Purpose Nightsaver Supplies with Non Quarter Hourly Meters where the daily consumption exceeds the monthly pro-rated 131 kWh per day for the 1st block, Night usage is also recorded.
Lot 6: General Purpose Nightsaver Supplies with Quarter Hourly Meters.
Lot 7: General Purpose Supplies with Non Quarter Hourly Meters.
Lot 8: General Purpose Supplies with Non Quarter Hourly Meters where the consumption falls solely within the 1st Block.
Lot 9: General Purpose (Night Storage) Supplies with Non Quarter Hourly Meters.
Lot 10: Domestic Supplies.
Lot 11: Large Energy Users or Medium Voltage Supplies.
Lot 12: 100 % Green Electricity.
Lot 13: Unmetered supplies.
Lot 14: Export Meters.
A Single Framework Agreement will be established for each lot for a term of 2 years with the option to extend for a further period of 1 year at the sole discretion of BGร‰.

Expressions of interest should be addressed in writing and sent via email for the attention of The Procurement Manager to cwhite@bge.ie The questionnaire will cover the financial, economic and technical capacity of the candidates. The questionnaire must be completed and returned to the address in I.1. above not later than 17:00 hrs Monday 26.8.2013. The responses will be used to assist in drawing up a tender list. This process may also include interviews with candidates. The contracting entity will not be responsible for any costs, charges or expenses incurred by candidates or tenderers relating to this contract award procedure. A consortium/joint venture will not be required to convert into a specific legal form in order to submit a Qualification Submission, but may be required to do so prior to award of the Framework Agreement. BGร‰ may:
i. contract with the prime service provider only;
ii. contract with each member of the consortium/joint venture on the basis of joint and several liabilities;
iii. contract with one member of the consortium/joint venture as prime service provider to whom the other members will be sub-contractors; or
iv. at its discretion, require the consortium/joint venture to enter into any other contracting arrangement.
