Waste disposal and recovery from park road recycling centre

Limerick City Council

Limerick City Council's Environment Department invites tenders from interested parties for the recovery and disposal of waste from it's park road depot.
The waste consists of arisings from the department's routine street cleaning activities and the removal of illegally dumped waste.
The expected quantities of waste will be:
1) Wet - street sweeping waste: 1 400 tonnes per annum, and
2) Dry compacted - illeagally dumped and litter bin waste: 600 tonnes per annum.
(Waste types 1) and 2) above are non-recyclable and must be transported to a licensed landfill facility.
3) Wood - 20 tonnes per annum, and
4) Metal - 50 tonnes per annum.
The above figures are indicative only and Limerick City Council will not be bound by them.
Quoted rates must be independent of tonnage variation.
All prospective tenderers must possess a valid waste collection permit and all material must be disposed of at a licensed facility.
