EirGrid is tendering for the provision of the following;
Lot 1 - Telephony Services and Infrastructure (Local).
Lot 2 - GSM Hardware and Services.
The nature of EirGrid’s core business creates Telephony and GSM Service needs that are significantly more onerous than a typical enterprise of EirGrid’s size. Also the critical nature of these services for the safe and efficient operation and management of Ireland’s Electricity Transmission System Network, EirGrid will need to be satisfied that there is a sufficient level of independence between the underlying infrastructure supporting both services.
All contracts will be awarded for a period of three years with an option to extend annually for up to an additional 24 months, subject always to the satisfactory performance of the successful suppliers.
