Supply of a multi-purpose 4 rope harbour mobile crane for Ringaskiddy

The Port of Cork wishes to invite tenders for the supply of one multipurpose 4 rope harbour mobile crane for handling bulk products, container handling and hook work.
The capabilities of the crane must be as follows:
— Outreach must be a minimum of 48 metres,
— Load capacity of no less than 55 tonnes @ radius of 32 metres under grab conditions,
— Suitable for handling 40T under the spreader @ 40 metre radius in a container operation.
Any parties interested in supplying the Crane which can meet the above requirements should send two hard copies of completed application covering the information requested in this notice to Denis Healy, Manager Engineering Services, Port of Cork Company, Custom House Street, Cork by the 5.6.2012 at 12 noon local Irish time.

Economic and financial standing:
Candidates must.
(a) Provide information on turnover and profitability and must demonstrate their turnover exceeds 1 000 000 EUR.
(b) Provide information on insurances in place - in particular public, employee and product liability insurances.
(c) Be tax compliant and either provide information in tax clearance certificate from the Irish Revenue Commissioners or evidence of application for the same.
These criteria will be assessed on a pass / fail basis.
Technical and professional ability:

(d) Supply information on their health and safety policy;
(e) Supply information on their quality assurance systems whether in house or 3rd party accredited;
(f) Demonstrate previous experience on the delivery of at least one similar crane in the past twelve months - to this end please provide information on (i) client name; (ii) crane type and size; (iii) crane value; (iv) delivery dates; (v) contact details for referrees;
