The contract is for the supply of Flue Gas Desulphurisation (FGD) - Fabric Filter Bags and Cages for three 305MWe coal fired boilers at Moneypoint Generating Station in the Republic of Ireland. The Fabric Filter Bags and Cages are required for installation in Low Pressure Pulse Jet type Fabric Filter. The FGD plant is based on a semi-dry process with FGD by-product recirculation. A CFB absorber and Fabric Filter house are installed downstream of an Electrostatic Precipitator. There are 11 760 bags installed per Unit, 8m in length. Across the three Units there are a total of 35 280 Fabric Filter Bags and Cages.
The proposed contract is for the supply of PPS / P84 Fabric Filter Bags. In total there will be a requirement for 12 936 Fabric Filter Bags and Cages per Unit.
It is proposed to replace the Fabric Filter Bags and Cages in Unit 3 in 2013 (Lot 1), Unit 1 in 2014 (Lot 2) and Unit 2 also in 2014 (Lot 3).
ESB Moneypoint Generating Station is located in the Shannon estuary in the south west of Ireland, near Kilrush in Co Clare. The site is located on the north bank of the River Shannon, 5km east of Kilrush. Access is available to the site by road or by sea. The port of Dublin is 265km distant, the port of Cork is 210km distant and the port of Limerick is 85km distant.
Prospective Tenderers will be expected to provide on site technical assistance during the installation works.
Prospective Prospective tenderers will be expected to have the capacity to store the Fabric Filter Bags and Cages in the event of unit outage dates changing.
