This includes waste such as oily waste, lab chemicals, batteries, florescent tubes, interceptor waste. Emergency response service for chemical and oil spills and associated cleanup services,— Lot 2. Non hazardous waste such as paper, plastic, cardboard, canteen waste, seaweed, waste lagging material,— Lot 3. Combined hazardous and non hazardous waste management. ESB may award this contract in lots of hazardous, non hazardous or the total waste combined. Preference will be given to those companies who have the ability to provide these services to all ESBEI generation locations in Ireland. Advantageous consideration will be given to companies that take into account sustainability options which would minimise energy and environmental impacts such as minimising waste transport distances.ESB requires interested parties to supply all the information requested in this call for competition in order to be considered. Please regard this notice as a pre qualification questionnaire (PQQ). The contract will be awarded for 3 years with an option at ESB's discretion to extend for up to a further 2 years. No guarantee can be given as to the volumes of waste being handled during the term of the contract. ESB reserves the right to extend this contract to other ESB generating stations at some point in the future.

a) It is ESBEI generation's intention to shortlist suitable candidates; b) ESBEI generation will not be responsible for costs, charges or expenses incurred by candidates, whether or not a final contract is awarded; c) This notice is to serve as the sole call for competition for this contract; d) Requests cannot be entertained beyond the date stipulated in Section IV. 3.3; e) In connection with the award of the contract, the tenderer shall be required to identify the entity that would be responsible for the receipt and processing of orders and the resolution of any and all problems relating to this contract; f) In responding to this notice, companies must indicate if they propose to submit a group bid and, if so, must provide full details of the participating companies; g) The negotiated procedure will be used, however, the contracting entity retains the option to accept initial bids without further negotiations; h) The final contract may be divided into lots. Conditions for participation
Suitability to pursue the professional activity:

a) Acceptance of Irish Law as governing any contract awarded;

b) Acceptance of the jurisdiction of Irish Courts;

c) A statement that no record exists against the bidder of successful court actions involving fraud or other major breaches of the Companies Act in Ireland, or similar law in any other jurisdiction;

d) A statement that the applicant has fulfilled its obligations relating to the payment of taxes and social security contributions in Ireland or any other state in which the tenderer is located.

Economic and financial standing:

A statement must also be provided showing the company's current annual turnover, profit for the year to date, number of permanent and temporary employees. This statement must be signed by a director of the company.

Technical and professional ability:

a) Details of similar contracts undertaken in the last 5 years including the customer, dates, services supplied, performance figures, evidence of delivery, duration of each contract and resources involved. The applicant's role in any contract listed should be clearly stated;

b) A statement on whether the applicant has ISO 9000 and ISO 14001 certification (or equivalent) and if so, the name and address of the third party accreditation agency. Applicants who do not hold ISO 9000 certification and ISO14001 certification should state if they are working towards certification and, if so the target date for certification. Applicants who do not hold ISO 9000 certification but have a quality system of comparable standard should provide sufficient details to enable their system to be assessed;

c) The applicant must demonstrate full project management experience, including waste handling, documentation, certification, licences and permits as relevant. Copies of licences should be submitted with your application;

d) Details of all contractor's recycling/segregation facilities to be provided;

e) Details of contractor's geographical coverage i.e. ability to provide waste management services to the different ESBEI generating stations (see www.ESB.ie 'About ESB') Preference will be given to those companies who have the ability to provide these services to all ESBEI generation locations in Ireland.
