The objective of this Pre-Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) process is to produce a short-list of suitably qualified companies who would be invited to tender for the provision of project management, engineering, environmental, planning, consultation and communication services as described below.
EirGrid is to undertake major capital investment in the North West of Ireland as part of the Grid25 strategy, this project is also part of the Renewable Integration Development Project (RIDP). This proposed scheme shall involve development of an EHV circuit (220kV or 400kV) in the region of 80-100km in length between the existing Srananagh 220kV station and a future station in Donegal to be located as part of this project. The main driver for this project is the connection of renewable generation in the north west.
