The number of contractors who will be shortlisted will be limited to five (5 no.), provided there are a sufficient number of suitably qualified candidates. The number of candidates selected will be based on the need to balance the characteristics of the procurement procedure with the resources required to conduct it and to submit tenders while also taking account of the need to ensure adequate competition.
The tenderers proposal shall be submitted in a sealed box and clearly labelled "Expressions of Interest for appointment of Contractor for Burncourt Fethard Water Supply Scheme Contract No. 1 - Design, Build and Operate Contract". The box shall contain two (2 no.) hard copies and one (1 no.) electronic copy of the submission.
It will be a condition of the award of the contract that the successful tenderer will be required to produce Tax Clearance Certification or a C2 Certificate from the Revenue commissioners where appropriate (in the case of a non-resident tenderer a statement of suitability on tax grounds from the Revenue commissioners in Ireland will be required), evidence of membership of a pension and sick pay scheme and any other relevant documentation as referred to in the tender documents.

To clarify, this is the person who will be responsible for the overall day to day management of the project during the Design Build phase including control and management of all specialists and sub-contractors, and who will act as the Contractor's key contact person throughout the design, construction and initial operation phases of the contract. The project manager shall be based on Site. As a minimum the “Project Manager” shall be professionally qualified having a degree in engineering (minimum Level 7 on the National framework of qualifications as prepared by the National qualifications authority of Ireland) and having at least 10 years experience on water services projects.
