Arklow Sewerage Scheme Contract 3 – Wastewater Treatment Plant DBO and Interceptor Sewers

The scope of works for the Arklow Sewerage Scheme includes the following:
— Design and Construction of approximately 1,75 km of new interceptor sewers up to 1 500 mmdiameter on both banks of the Avoca River in an urban environment with an interconnecting underwater siphon;
— Construction of a new Pumping Station at North Quay including a storm tank;
— Construction of a new Sewage Treatment Works at Seabank Townland together with an access road from Sea Road and the construction of approximately 1,2 km long outfall pipeline with a diffuser section at its end discharging to the Irish Sea east of the Treatment Works.
— Construction of a Rising Main approximately 2,7 km long from the North Quay Pumping Station to a high point on the Sea Road at Seabank and a gravity pipeline from there to the Treatment Works;
— Alterations to the existing Pumping Station at Porter's Bridge;
— Operation and Maintenance of the above (with the exception of the interceptor sewers and siphon) for a 20 year period.
