Tender for collection and processing of glass and cans from Bring Banks
The work involves the collection and processing of glass (clear, green and brown glass) and cans (aluminium, steel and aerosol cans) from the Council's network of recycling banks (bring sites). The primary duties are:
(1) collection of glass and cans from Bring Banks;
(2) transportation of collected materials to suitable facility for processing;
(3) processing or arranging for processing of collected materials for recycling at a licensed/permitted facility;
(4) marketing and sale of products to reprocessors;
(5) record and report data in relation to recycling achieved from collected materials;
(6) removal of damaged banks and replacement with new banks;
(7) maintenance of site cleanliness;
(8) management of health and safety in relation to collection arrangements;
