— Gum removal for part of town centre as shown in attached drawing (133-05).

Tenders should be submitted along with the following: 1. Details of company’s previous experience in this type of works in the last 5 years. 2. Proposed work programme for the contract including hours of work, plant and labour to be used. 3. Complete Competency Questionnaire. The attached Louth Local Authorities Construction Regulations Competency Questionnaire must be completed and returned with the tender. Failure to produce the required documentation will disqualify the tender. The lowest tender may not necessarily be accepted. 4. Current tax clearance Certificate. C2 5. An appropriate Safety Statement, in accordance with the requirements of the Safety, Health & Welfare at Work Act, 2005 (with particular reference to sections 19 & 20). In this regard tenderer’s should note the particular risks relating to the contract such as working in close proximity to traffic, to the general public, in poor lighting conditions and medical risks in relation with working with litter. 6. Written confirmation of the tenderer’s willingness to undertake the role of Project Supervisor Construction Stage as described under the construction regulations of 2001 as revised under the construction regulations 2006, along with a written method statement in relation to all works. 7. Appropriate and adequate traffic safety and control measures must be provided where necessary. 8. Details of their Employer Liability, Public Liability and Motor Insurance policies and appropriate Tax Clearance certificate for approval. 9. Adequate evidence of Public Liability & Employer Liability Insurance, extended to provide a specific indemnity to Dundalk Town Council with a limit of indemnity of 6 400 000 EUR under the Public Liability Section of the policy and a limit of indemnity of 12 700 000 EUR under the Employer’s Liability Section. 10. Details of methods of disposal of collected waste and final destination of same. 11. The prices and rates shall include for all costs arising from the successful Tenderer’s obligations under the Waste Management Act 1996, or any other environmental legislation, with particular regard to the holding, transport, recovery and disposal of waste arising from the carrying out of the contract. 12. Completed tenders must be forwarded to the Town Clerks Office in a sealed envelope clearly marked “Tender for road sweeping contract 2011 & 2012” for the attention of Mr. Frank Pentony, Town Clerk, Dundalk Town Council, Town Hall, Crowe’s Street, Dundalk, Co.
