SmartPly Europe is situated at Belview Port, near Waterford city and has produced Oriented Strand Board (OSB) since 1996 for a range of structural applications including flooring, wall sheathing, roofing, hoarding, furniture and packaging. OSB is a strong, durable wood panel which is increasingly used throughout Europe in the Offsite construction sector. It is manufactured by compressing precisely engineered strands of wood with gluing resins at high temperature to create a strong and versatile panel. It is an innovative, environmentally sustainable timber based solution for structural and non structural building applications. A significant volume of the factory output is exported, comprising over 40 different products. SmartPly are a leading supplier of premium OSB products in Europe.
Smartply Europe request for tender for the supply, service and delivery of a high-lift log loader.This machine must be designed specifically for log handling applications such as unloading logs and pulp wood, stacking, as well as unloading capabilities. It must be capable of operating with at least a 8 ton working load. In addition the machine must be capabe of lifting at least 5 800 000 in height under a closed grapple capacity of at least 3.2 squared meters, and a 4 meter reach. The machine’s high-lift attachment must be capable of 360 degree rotation, to make it possible to reach the logs with any grapple from all sides of the stack. Smartply Europe are also request all related warranty details, fuel consumption capabilities, servicing costs and emergency call out charges for this machine.
We also request that our existing machine will be used as a trade -in allowance - further details can be found in section 2a. Further Specification details can be found in appendix 5 of the tender document.
