Re-configuration of the National Forensic Mental Health Services Facilities
The Health Service Executive are seeking expressions of interest from Architects, Mechanical & Electrical Engineers, Civil & Structural Engineers, Quantity Surveyors and independant PSDP services who wish to tender for the design and delivery of the Re-configuration of the National Forensic Mental Health Services Facilities.
The new National Forensic Mental Health Service Facilities will consist of a 120 Bed New Adult Forensic Hospital (NAFH) to replace the Central Mental Hospital (cmh) in Dundrum; a 10 bed Forensic Child and Adolescent Mental Health Unit (CAMH-F); a 10 bed Forensic Mental Health Intellectual Disability Unit (MHID-F) and a 30 bed Forensic Intensive Care Rehabilitation Unit (ICRU-F) co-located within one secure campus on the grounds of St Itaโs, Portrane, Co. Dublin. In addition, there will also be two 30 bed Forensic Intensive Care Rehabilitation Units developed at appropriate locations across the country in line with Vision for Change.
The NFMHS secure campus on the grounds of St Itaโs, Portrane will also include a Production Kitchen, a Recreation Centre to provide medical, therapy, education & gymnasium services and an Administration Centre. The approximate net floor area for the NFMHS Facilities is as follows:

โ ICRUโs -F โ 1,900 sq m.
Two Satelite ICRU's F:
