Bord Gáis Eireann wishes to enter into contracts for the provision of telecommunications services and associated support services for the Networks business of Bord Gáis Éireann. The scope services cover wide area networking services, fixed line telephony and mobile voice, messaging and data services. The service will be required in the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland and Scotland. It is currently anticipated that the contracts will be for a three year period with extension for an additional year to a maximum of two years subject to an annual review after the three year period. The provision of telecommunications services will be sub-divided into three (3) separate lots. Described below as Lot 1, Lot 2 and Lot 3, these are the Lots / contract structures and scope which Bord Gáis is currently planning to tender. Applications to pre-qualify for, and in due course bid for, each Lot will be evaluated separately and a separate contract may be awarded for each Lot. BG Networks reserves the right to extend the telecommunications services to other BG (Networks) buildings and AGI’s, if they so wish to.
Please note that candidates can apply to pre-qualify for one, two or all Lots. Candidates should indicate clearly in respect of which Lot or Lots they are applying to pre-qualify.
The Lots referred to above are:
Lot 1 – Wide Area Networking Services;
Lot 2 – Fixed Line Telephony Services;
Lot 3 – Mobile Voice, Messaging and Data Services.

Expressions of interest should be addressed in writing and sent via email for the attention of The Networks Procurement Manager to cwhite@bge.ie. The questionnaire will cover the financial, economic and technical capacity of the candidates. The questionnaire must be completed and returned to the address in I.1. above not later than 17:00 hrs Friday 9.9.2011 to assist in drawing up a tender list. This process may also include interviews with candidates. The contracting entity will not be responsible for any costs, charges or expenses incurred by candidates or tenderers relating to this contract award procedure.
