Bord Gáis seeks to enter into contract(s) for the provision of telecommunications services and associated support services. The scope of services includes wide area networking, fixed line telephony and mobile services in support of Bord Gáis Energy. It is currently anticipated that the contracts will be for a 3 year period with an option for Bord Gáis to extend for a further period of up to two years. The provision of telecommunications services will be sub-divided into three (3) separate Lots, described below as Lot 1, Lot 2 and Lot 3. These are the Lots / contract structures and scope which Bord Gáis is currently planning to tender. Applications to pre-qualify for, and in due course bid for, each Lot will be evaluated separately and a separate contract may be awarded for each Lot. Applicants should further note that Bord Gáis reserves the right to alter the scope and volume of work contained in the Lots and the following descriptions are intended to give a general indication only. The Lots referred to above are:
Lot 1 – Wide area networking services.
Lot 2 – Fixed line telephony services.
Lot 3 – Mobile voice, messaging and data services.

A pre-qualification questionnaire will be issued to all candidates who respond to this notice. Expressions of interest should be addressed in writing and sent via email for the attention of The Energy Procurement Manager to dchodyn@bordgais.ie. The questionnaire will cover the financial, economic and technical capacity of the candidates. The questionnaire must be completed and returned to the address in I.1. above not later than 17:00 hrs Friday 9.9.2011. The responses will be used to assist in drawing up a tender list. This process may also include interviews with candidates. The contracting entity will not be responsible for any costs, charges or expenses incurred by candidates or tenderers relating to this contract award procedure.
