Provision of road passenger transport services - east region (2nd panel)
A second (2nd) Ad-hoc Panel of qualified and competent operators is being established in the East Region to provide services to Bus Eireann on demand. This Panel will supplement an existing Panel of Road Transport Operators which was established in 2010 in the East Region. The East Region consists of services operating in the Greater Dublin Area, Wicklow, Kildare, Meath, Dundalk, Drogheda, Cavan and Monaghan. Any operator who was awarded a contract for these services in 2010 need not re-apply as this second panel is being established to supplement the panel already in existence. The provision of these services will be for the purpose of supplementing existing bus services, in particular, at times of increased demand for seasonal or other reasons. Bus Eireann will define the age and specification of vehicle required for the services. Only Coaches with a minimum capacity of 47 seats and up to 10 years of age are required. Coaches which fall outside this requirement will not be considered.
